Set My Line Up (Segment one)

1) Christopher

League Settings: PPR, 6 points per TD pass, Yardage Bonuses

QB: Jameis Winston, Tyrod Taylor

RB: LeSean McCoy, Christian McCaffery, Kareem Hunt, Tevin Coleman, Derrick Henry

WR: Michael Thomas, Devante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Rishard Matthews, Cooper Kupp

TE: Hunter Henry

K: Will Lutz

D/ST: New England Patriots

Mike’s Take: Very solid trio of backs starting. i like your WRs but tough matchups could make it difficult this week. Tyrod Taylor is a risky play with limited weapons despite the easy matchup. If someone like Carson Palmer or even Sam Bradford vs. NO is available, I’d go that route instead.

2) Tim

League Settings: 0.25 PPR

QB: Cam Newton, Eli Manning

RB: Lamar Miller, Joe Mixon, Ameer Abdullah, Tevin Coleman, Alvin Kamara, C.J. Prosise

WR: Julio Jones, Michael Thomas, Amari Cooper, Stefon Diggs, Brandon Marshall, Kenny Britt

TE: Rob Gronkowski

Mike’s Take: Start Stefon Diggs in your flex this week. Joe Mixon is tempting but it may be best to wait until we see his role in a crowded backfield situation in Cincy. At QB, Cam Newton is a strong start versus a bad 49ers defense.

3) Will

League Settings: .5 PPR, 6 points per TD pass

QB: Andy Dalton, Carson Palmer

RB: Melvin Gordon, Todd Gurley, Adrian Peterson

WR: Demaryius Thomas, Golden Tate, Sammy Watkins, Ted Ginn, Adam Thielen, Devante Parker

TE: Zach Ertz, Austin Hooper

K: Matt Prater

D: Buffalo Bills

Mike’s Take: Tough matchup for Golden Tate this week, favorable ones for Watkins and Thielen. No Vontae Davis for Indy should open things up for Watkins to have a big day. I would still give the nod to Tate over Ginn for your flex.

4) Kristin

League Settings: PPR

QB: Drew Brees

RB: LeSean McCoy, Frank Gore, Doug Martin, Chris Thompson, Alvin Kamara

WR: Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Adam Thielen, Tyler Lockett, Sterling Shepard

TE: Rob Gronkowski, Cameron Brate, C.J. Fiedorowicz

DP: Eric Weddle

D: Pittsburgh Steelers

Mike’s Take: You got it set perfect, Kristin. No changes.

5) Brian

League Settings: .5 PPR

QB: Ben Roethlisberger, Carson Palmer

RB: Bilal Powell, Paul Perkins, Doug Martin, James White, Duke Johnson, Alvin Kamara, Chris Carson

WR: Jordy Nelson, Brandin Cooks, Michael Crabtree

TE: Julius Thomas, George Kittle

K: Cairo Santos

D: Green Bay Packers

Mike’s Take: Not a big Paul Perkins believer but you have to go with the sure touches there over your other options. George Kittle is a very risky play, would hit the waiver wire and try to grab Charles Clay or Zach Miller if you can.

6) Alexander

League Settings: Not Specified

QB: Tom Brady

RB: Jordan Howard, Christian McCaffery, Darren McFadden, Bilal Powell, Jonathan Stewart

WR: Jordy Nelson, Keenan Allen, Jamison Crowder, Adam Thielen, Rishard Matthews

TE: Delanie Walker

K: Justin Tucker

D: LA Rams, Arizona Cardinals

Mike’s Take: With Ezekiel Elliott playing in week one, swap out McFadden for Bilal Powell in your flex. Keenan Allen has a difficult matchup but is still your second best option at wide receiver.

7) Isaac

League Settings: Not Specified

QB: Andy Dalton

RB: Le’Veon Bell, Leonard Fournette, C.J. Anderson, Mike Gillislee, Derrick Henry, Thomas Rawls

WR: Michael Thomas, Martavis Bryant, Terrelle Pryor, Golden Tate, Donte Moncrief

TE: Tyler Eifert

K: Cairo Santos

D: Denver Broncos

Mike’s Take: C.J. Anderson over Pryor in your flex if it not a PPR scoring league.

8) Salomon

League Settings: Not Specified

QB: Russell Wilson

RB: Ezekiel Elliott, Kareem Hunt, Ameer Abdullah, Derrick Henry, Dalvin Cook

WR: Julio Jones, Keenan Allen, Corey Davis, Eric Decker, Malcolm Mitchell, Emmanuel Sanders

TE: Hunter Henry

K: Will Lutz

D: Minnesota Vikings

Mike’s Take: Thanks for including some of the waiver options in your email, Isaac. I would drop Malcolm Mitchell for Zay Jones. Keep him on your bench for now though. Don’t forget to specify league settings for next time as well, so we can help you better. Pretty clear cut for this week though.

9) Jon

League Settings: PPR, 2 Flex

QB: Derek Carr, Alex Smith, Deshaun Watson

RB: David Johnson, Devonta Freeman, Ty Montgomery, Thomas Rawls

WR: Allen Robinson, Tyreek Hill, Jarvis Landry, Kenny Britt, Chris Hogan, Corey Davis, Danny Amendola, Taylor Gabriel

TE: Kyle Rudolph, Evan Engram, Zach Miller

Mike’s Take: Thomas Rawls is worth considering if he’s healthy and ready to go. But at the end of the day I think Kenny Britt has a higher floor for your flex this week. The Browns should be playing from behind and throwing often.

10) Matt

League Settings: 2 QB Leagye, .5 PPR

QB: Jay Cutler, Marcus Mariota, DeShone Kizer

RB: Isaiah Crowell, Dalvin Cook, Ameer Abdullah, Jonathan Stewart, C.J. Prosise, De’Angelo Henderson

WR: Emmanuel Sanders, Dez Bryant, A.J. Green, Pierre Garcon, Zay Jones, Cooper Kupp

TE: Zach Ertz, Austin Hooper

K: Matt Prater

D: Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans

Mike’s Take: You could also go with Jonathan Stewart in a easy matchup versus the 49ers, but Christian McCaffery could see more work. Ameer Abdullah is a lock for more touches despite the tougher matchup.

11) Pat

League Settings: PPR

QB: Andrew Luck, Andy Dalton

RB: Bilal Powell, Kareem Hunt, Ameer Abdullah, Shane Vereen, Rex Burkhead

WR: Jordy Nelson, A.J. Green, DeAndre Hopkins, Martavis Bryant, Allen Robinson

TE: Tyler Eifert

K: Caleb Sturgis

D: San Diego Chargers

IDP: Ryan Shazier, Landon Collins

Mike’s Take: Toss up between Hopkins and Bryant for your flex. The Steelers could get up early, thus passing less later in the game. I’m giving the ever so slight edge to Hopkins.

12) Geoff

League Settings: .5 PPR, Big play bonus

QB: Cam Newton, Philip Rivers

RB: Marshawn Lynch, Le’Veon Bell, Mike Gillislee, Latavius Murray

WR: Emmanuel Sanders, T.Y. Hilton, DeVante Parker, Breshad Perriman, Willie Snead

TE: Greg Olsen

K: Stephen Gostkowski

D: Minnesota Vikings

Mike’s Take: The sudden bye week for Parker and suspension for Snead really leaves you thin at WR. Perriman offers some upside in your flex with the big play ability, but he’s also got a very low floor meaning he could put up next to nothing. Gillislee is a safer option for your flex this week.
